The Participating Paving Program was designed to assist residents of the unincorporated areas of Bay County for stabilizing or paving of county roads with a minimum of a 50' right-of-way. The county and property owners participate on a 60%/40% ratio with the county paying 60% and the property owners paying 40% (20% each side of the road).
This is a voluntary proceeding which is initiated by a petition signed by property owners who together own at least 60% of the front footage of the property abutting the project. There have been over 20 miles of residential streets and roads stabilized or paved since January 1, 2001 with this program.
